Actually in all honesty Ms Sheenly’s coaching really changed a lot with how I view my work. Ms Sheenly made me realize how acting my characters shouldn’t just be in 2D (just acting out the lines). There is so much more that goes beyond my character’s lines; so much more that goes beyond the script.

I learned how to do character sketches to make my roles more sincere and realistic - and more importantly, more relatable to the audience! Because good actors make good relatable characters.

Direk Shing was my first acting coach and I must say, she made me love acting even more. Until now, I still use all the things I have learned from the intensive workshop we had back then. She has a special way of teaching young/newbie actors that will keep them inspired and prepared.

I learned a lot after I finished a workshop under Sheenly Gener for a short film project #Bagets. Aside from respecting myself and the craft,  she made  me understand things like the value of preparation,  where I can possibly get my energy in a scene, the goal and trajectory of the character, stepping out of our comfort zones and the price that we continually pay as actors. 

She gave me an assignment and I was mindblown after we worked on it, step by step. It was so easy and I was confident during the shoot. She did not only  help me prepare for the film project, she generously taught me  techniques and made sure I understood through application.  As a bonus, she guided me as I  prepare for a Cinemalaya audition after our class -  I  got the role and bagged my Cinemalaya Best Supporting Actor award.

I really enjoyed my acting session with Direk Sheen. It is my first cinemalaya movie, and it is really a big break for me.. At first, I get so nervous but when we started and get to know her, I feel so comfortable. She is very bubbly and approachable. I learned a lot from her incomes to acting techniques.

She is my favorite director and coach.
