You might not need a monologue, but you want to learn the language of acting because you’ll be dealing with actors. Acting on camera is different (as well as acting onstage). This is focused on acting for the camera but we will go through the difference of acting for a live audience. Understanding is power! Or maybe you want to communicate better, work on your personality, sincerity, or subtlety - whatever floats your boat, really - that includes communication (that is almost everything you do, in fact *wink).
